O Come, Our Great Redeemer

O come, our Great Redeemer.
We long to see Your face,
To behold the Son, who salvation won
When He suffered in our place.

Face to face with Christ my Savior,
Face to face—what will it be
When with rapture I behold Him there,
Jesus Christ, who died for me?

Only faintly now we see You,
With a darkened glass between.
But a blesséd day is coming soon
When Your glory will be seen.

What rejoicing in Your presence,
When you wipe all tears away.
All the crooked ways will be made straight
When we see You in that day.

O come, Almighty Conq’rer;
Come and show your victory.
We will praise Your name as You rule and reign
Throughout all eternity.
